Portable system mounts on low-profile boom
Allied Construction Products LLC has added the PowerPortable boom system to its Pedestal Breaker System full-product line. It can be used with stationary or wheel- and track-mounted mobile crushers. Built around Allied’s Rammer, AR Series and Hy-Ram hydraulic hammers, the 350 to 1400 class hammers are mounted on a low-profile boom that adds minimal height and weight to the crusher. The boom offers reaches of 10 to 15 ft., allowing the PowerPortable boom system to reach both the crusher and feeder, if necessary. The system is powered by 20- to 30-hp units (depending on the hammer selected). To eliminate the weight of an additional power unit, the PowerPortable boom system is often connected directly to the crusher’s hydraulic circuit. Its functions are controlled through a system of valves.
