The Pennsylvania Aggregates & Concrete Association (PACA) inducted New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co.’s Jerry Chaplin and Dan Martin to its Ambassadors of the Industry Hall of Fame.

PACA’s hall of fame now contains 100 inductees following the enshrinement of Chaplin and Martin.

Additionally, PACA’s Excellence in Concrete Recognition Awards this year honored individuals and companies with the Project of the Year and Hank Bauer Captains of Concrete awards.

PACA tabbed UPMC Vision Institute’s Mercy Pavilion as its Project of the Year. UPMC was the owner of the project while Frank Bryan Inc. served as the concrete producer. Mascaro Construction was the general contractor.

The Hank Bauer Captains of Concrete Award, meanwhile, was presented to Byler Materials Group and Pennsy Supply, a CRH company. According to PACA, the companies were selected for their willingness to participate in the national effort between Build with Strength and Habitat for Humanity to build an Insulated Concrete Forms house in Steelton, Pennsylvania.
