The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) Legislative & Policy Forum, originally scheduled for Sept. 21-23 in Washington, will be transformed into a free virtual event.

According to NSSGA, it worked with representatives from all relevant parties to make this decision in the best interest of members and staff.

“We see this as an outstanding opportunity to amplify our voices on behalf of our industry with members of Congress, using a digital platform,” the association says in a statement. “Additionally, an array of great content, speakers and opportunities to connect remotely will be available.

“The purpose of the Legislative & Policy Forum is for us to convene and collaborate in telling the story of the aggregates industry to promote policies important to us,” NSSGA adds. “Through this virtual format, we are confident we will do just that, and we will only strengthen our numbers representing our advocacy through the flexibility the virtual format allows.”

NSSGA will have additional details available, including event dates and a schedule, in the weeks to come.

Within the last several weeks, NSSGA also announced that its Young Leaders Annual Meeting will be held virtually in response to the coronavirus.
