Northeast Mine Safety & Health Conference set for next month

The Northeast Mine Safety & Health Conference is set to take place April 3-5 in Columbus, Ohio.

The event will feature a number of sessions presented by the Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) and safety experts.

Marvin Lichtenfels, deputy administrator for the metal and non-metal program area of MSHA, will present the keynote speech.

Some of the topics discussed during the general sessions will include contractor management in mining, MSHA enforcement and commission decisions, managing a successful industrial hygiene program and contractors on mine properties.
