MSHA stakeholder meeting draws leaders to North Carolina
Four industry associations in the Southeast hosted a Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) stakeholder meeting in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The North Carolina Aggregates Association collaborated with the Georgia Construction Aggregate Association, the South Carolina Aggregates Association and the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance to bring the stakeholder meeting to life at the Hilton Raleigh North Hills.
MSHA assistant secretary Christopher Williamson was in attendance along with Brian Goepfert, who serves the agency as administrator for enforcement of metal/nonmetal. Williamson addressed those at the meeting, which included a panel discussion among representatives from the states on hand.
A tour of Wake Stone Corp.’s Knightdale Quarry in Knightdale, North Carolina, was also part of the gathering.
