Motion Industries names sales manager of process pumps and equipment

Motion Industries (Mi), a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Co., named Hal Midkiff as its product sales manager of pumps and equipment. Midkiff comes to Motion Industries with 27 years of experience in the process pumping industry.

In this role, Midkiff will help grow Motion Industries’ process pumps market share by identifying opportunities and working with pump suppliers, company specialists and the Motion Industries sales force to develop strategies, create the optimum product mix, support training and development, and provide customers with quality solution offerings.

“We are very happy to have someone of Hal’s experience to lead our efforts in the process pumps and related equipment area of our business,” says Jim Williams, vice president of purchasing at Motion Industries. “This is a very important growth area for Motion Industries, and Hal is uniquely qualified to lead the growth.”

According to Mi Process Pumps & Equipment, which launched in 2007, the company aims to provide the most cost-effective and long-lasting solutions for its customers process applications and liquid transfer requirements.

Motion Industries is an industrial parts distributor of bearings, mechanical power transmission, electrical and industrial automation, hydraulic and industrial hose, hydraulic and pneumatic components, industrial products, safety products and material handling. The company has more than 550 locations, including 14 distribution centers throughout North America and serves more than 300,000 customers throughout a variety of industries.
