Modular Mining Systems, Inc. offers the Dispatch AssetAlert module, a solution to track and manage assets. AssetAlert utilizes hardware within a self-healing wireless mesh network to communicate asset data to the Dispatch fleet management system’s central server. The hardware is composed of a small device called the Lasso, which is equipped with on-board GPS, analog input, two digital inputs and outputs, and digital accelerometer. The Lasso attaches to any asset, mobile or fixed, and relays critical information, such as location, movement and speed, status (on/off, fuel level, temperature) or abnormal driving conditions. Mines can use Lassos across the site to locate missing equipment, optimize equipment use, track vehicle movement to prevent theft and receive alerts when user-configurable thresholds are exceeded.
