Aggregate sales volumes at Holcim last year were up nearly 1 percent in North America, and they climbed about 5 percent for the company globally.

Globally, Holcim’s net sales were up nearly 17 percent last year.

“2021 was a record year for Holcim, reaching new levels of performance, across our financial and ESG (environmental, social and governance) targets,” says Jan Jenisch, Holcim CEO. “What makes me most proud is how we navigated the COVID pandemic with such extraordinary resilience and agility, working tirelessly to keep our people and communities safe.”

Jenisch adds that Holcim delivered a record financial performance across all of its key metrics. According to Holcim, it expanded both its aggregate and ready-mixed concrete businesses in North America and Europe last year with 12 bolt-on acquisitions across the major markets.
