Michelin: XTXL E4 tire

By |  January 18, 2013

The Michelin XTXL E4 tire is designed for underground transport machines. Protection ribs reinforce the sidewall, increasing shock and abrasion resistance. Wide channels and grooves provide traction and grip on angled surfaces and loose ground conditions. The tire’s sculpted shoulder blocks serve as a cooling system, reducing thermal buildup, and a cooling undertread layer reduces thermal buildup under the solid center tread. According to Michelin, XTXL E4 tires are more than 20 percent more puncture-resistant because of their reinforced steel crown belt package. Michelin also says the tires are built for 20 percent more load capacity because of a reinforced casing ply.
