LiuGong North America added Jewell Machinery of Rocky Mount, Virginia, as a dealer.

Founded in 2000, Jewell Machinery sells parts and machinery, and manufactures, services and rents machinery and equipment for the construction and forestry industry within a 300-mile radius of its headquarters.

Jewell Machinery specializes in mobile and stationary loaders and is the OEM manufacturer of self-propelled carriers for the LiuGong brand.

“We see an exciting opportunity here,” says Michael Jewell, founder and president of Jewell Machinery. “LiuGong has an extensive equipment line, really anything our customers need, from Dressta dozers to LiuGong wheel loaders, excavators and more.”

The LiuGong product lines are made specifically for the North American market, making its machines easy to work with, Jewell adds.

“They have Cummins engines and ZF transmissions,” Jewell says. “Our service personnel are Cummins-certified, and we have the exact same ZF transmissions on the undercarriages we manufacture ourselves right here. They are just a perfect fit for us.”

Jewell Machinery is dedicated to serving the forestry and construction industries. It is an authorized dealer of Barko forestry loaders, LiuGong forklifts, wheel loaders, excavators and skid steers, and Dressta dozers. The dealer services, repairs and sells a variety of other brand-name equipment.

Jewell Machinery facilities include a 19,000-sq.-ft. store and a new 22,000-sq.-ft. shop with 13 service bays. Services of its 22 full-time employees include the capability to fabricate or modify equipment to specific customer requirements.
