Liebherr recently hosted its Quarry Days in Saint-Nabor, France, which drew in more than 1,000 attendees. According to the company, Liebherr experts demonstrated the use of quarrying equipment at various stations oriented toward the different production processes in a quarry, including material removal, quarrying, transportation, stone crushing and service.

At the event, the company showcased some of its new equipment, including the R 956 crawler excavator, PR 726 crawler tractor, and L 566 XPower and L 586 XPower wheel loaders.

The R 956 was presented for the first time at Quarry Days with its new diesel engine, which meets Tier 4 emissions standards. The crawler excavator has a robust uppercarriage, a more resilient undercarriage and a new cab, reports Liebherr.

The PR 726, which debuted in September, features a 4-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine and meets Tier 4 standards. The PR 726 Litronic’s performance is rounded off by a comprehensive range of equipment, the company says.

The L 566 and L 586 XPower wheel loaders represent the company’s generation of large wheel loaders. According to Liebherr, the core element of XPower wheel loaders is the power-split travel drive, which conforms to Tier 4 standards. Additionally, the loaders feature hydrostatic drive and mechanical drive, which both help to maximize fuel efficiency.
