Liebherr named Tim Gerhardt as a managing director of Liebherr USA Co.

He is taking the spot of Torben Reher, who served Liebherr USA since its inception in 2016. According to Liebherr, Reher plans to return to Germany.

Gerhardt has served Liebherr Group as a business executive and will now share executive responsibilities with Kai Friedrich, managing director for Liebherr USA and divisional director of construction equipment.

“Working as managing director for Liebherr in the United States give me the unique opportunity to develop the company to its next level after a successful launch in 2016,” Gerhardt says. “It allows me to work in an interesting environment within one of Liebherr’s most important markets.”

In his role, Gerhardt is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic development, communication and implementation of growth strategies for all corporate, financial and administrative functions integrated in the shared services at Liebherr USA.

Gerhardt has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry and, most recently, served as managing director at Liebherr-Ettlingen GmbH remanufacturing center. Gerhardt joined the Liebherr Group in April 2016 after serving as CFO at MAN Truck & Bus in the Middle East and Africa.
