LafargeHolcim appointed Toufic Tabbara as CEO of U.S. cement operations.

Tabbara joined LafargeHolcim in 1998, beginning his career in the gypsum division. He later took on roles in ready-mixed concrete, asphalt and construction operations in the U.S. and Canada.

Tabbara was named LafargeHolcim’s country CEO for Jordan in 2012, with responsibilities in ready-mix operations, two cement plants and one grinding plant. Most recently, Tabbara served as country CEO for Algeria, where he oversaw ready-mix, aggregate, gypsum and cement operations, in addition to a central research lab.

Tabbara received his Master of Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona. He also has a bachelor of business administration from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.

Tabbara succeeds Jamie Gentoso, who was named global head of solutions and products business unit and group executive committee member.
