President-elect Donald Trump selected Andy Puzder, chief executive of CKE Restaurants, to head the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).

According to The New York Times, Puzder has been outspoken against DOL’s new overtime rule, as well as raising the minimum wage.

“Andy Puzder has created and boosted the careers of thousands of Americans, and his extensive record fighting for workers makes him the ideal candidate to lead the Department of Labor,” says Trump, in a statement.

Puzder, whose company franchises Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s fast food restaurants, argues that the DOL overtime rule reduces worker opportunities and that increasing the minimum wage is a burden on small businesses, according to The New York Times.

The Wall Street Journal writes in an opinion piece that Puzder is “the rare executive who promotes free markets rather than merely his own business interests.”
