Holcim US acquired Tezak Heavy Equipment, a family-held aggregate producer and specialty civil construction business with roots near Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The deal includes four quarries near Colorado Springs, as well as all civil construction, trucking and maintenance operations of Tezak.

The acquisition is Holcim’s third in Colorado since late last year. Holcim acquired aggregate operations from Pioneer Landscape Centers in January, and it added an aggregate operation from J-2 Contracting Co. in December.

“With Colorado among the leaders in U.S. population and GDP growth, Holcim understands how important construction in the region is and will become,” says Toufic Tabbara, region head of North America at Holcim US. “Partnering with companies like Tezak, a trusted regional aggregates and construction provider, we are able to build on our growth of the Colorado Springs market.”
