HCEA hosts dealer dinner, names top distributor

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas (HCEA) presented its top dealer awards at a dinner in conjunction with the AED Summit in Chicago.

The company’s 2019 Dealer of the Year award went to National Equipment Dealers (NED). NED represents 10 major heavy equipment manufacturers across the Carolinas, Florida and parts of Texas following a merger of Four Seasons Equipment, May Heavy Equipment and Earthmovers Equipment.

In addition to the dealer of the year award, additional top dealer awards were presented to the following companies representing HCEA:

• Highway Equipment Co.
• RECO Equipment
• Chappell Tractor
• Porter Group U.S.A.
• Crosby Equipment Co.
• Rueter’s Equipment
• MECOM Equipment
• A. Montano Equipment Co.

The AED Summit was a gathering of construction equipment distributors, manufacturers and service providers. The HCEA awards dinner, attended by 40 dealer management personnel as well as several Cummins representatives, offered an opportunity to discuss 2020 and share some best practices.

Stan Park, vice president of distribution and marketing, gave a short presentation following the dinner. Park discussed key topics for 2020, including HCEA’s work in motion technology, new models and retail support.

Park also highlighted HCEA’s ConExpo-ConAgg preparations and the upcoming 30-year anniversary of the partnership between Hyundai and Cummins.

HCEA’s North American dealer network includes more than 75 dealerships operating more than 180 locations, offering sales, service and parts for the full line of Hyundai excavators, wheel loaders, compaction rollers and other construction equipment. HCEA offers a full line of crawler excavators, ranging from compact models to mass excavators, as well as wheeled excavators, wheel loaders, compaction equipment and hydraulic breakers.

HCEA has been a part of the global construction equipment network of Hyundai Heavy Industry since 1991.
