The HA30 and HA45 articulated dump trucks (ADTs) from Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas target the 30- and 45-ton segments. With respective payloads of 28 and 41 tons, Hyundai says the HA30 and HA45 are designed to provide a haul truck match for its larger crawler excavators and wheeled loaders. According to the company, the ADTs are built around a full-time, six-wheel drive concept with front and rear limited-slip differentials and a longitudinal differential that can be manually locked for maximum drive and traction on difficult terrain. The trucks have a compact chassis design, Hyundai adds, to aid maneuverability. They also feature a sloping rear frame and a front-mounted differential integrated into the ZF transmission, allowing for a shorter front-frame section.

Hauler designed for aggregate applications

The HD1500-8E0 rigid-frame, off-highway haul truck has a rated payload of 153.2 tons, delivering what Komatsu describes as performance on grade while providing energy-
saving technologies that lower fuel consumption. With a 1,570-hp, Tier 4 Final Komatsu SDA16V159E-3 engine, the company says the HD1500-8E0 helps drive high levels of productivity. A redesigned cab, combined with a MacPherson strut-type and hydropneumatic suspension, gives operators a smooth and comfortable ride, Komatsu adds.

Shorten cycle times thanks to gains in acceleration, deceleration

Liebherr developed the TA 230 Litronic articulated dump truck for maximum productivity. The company says a powerful drivetrain enables more material movement in less time. Because of its powerful engine and efficient drivetrain, Liebherr says the TA 230 generates enormous drawbar pull on difficult terrain and challenging gradients. At full speed, the machine can reach speeds of up to 35 mph.

Model addresses fuel economy, emissions and safety

The RA40 articulated dump truck from Rokbak features a Scania DC13 engine and a 41.9-ton payload to ensure the fast movement of heavy-duty materials on all types of terrain. According to Rokbak, the hauler is linked to its telematics system that provides operators with complete visibility and control of the hauler.
