Thousands of flood victims are currently being housed at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center, which is slated to serve as the home of AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo next March. AGG1 is scheduled to be co-located with the World of Asphalt.

Houston is also expected to host the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) 2018 Annual Convention next March at the city’s Marriott Marquis. When approached early this week, NSSGA noted that it is monitoring the situation in Houston to determine any impact to AGG1 and the Annual Convention.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people who are affected by Hurricane Harvey and the unprecedented flooding in southern Texas,” says Mike Johnson, president and CEO of NSSGA.
