Ground control, mine safety among Kentucky seminar topics

The 21st annual Underground Stone Seminar will take place Dec. 6-7 in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Ramada Plaza Louisville Hotel and Conference Center.

According to the Kentucky Crushed Stone Association, a lineup of speakers will discuss ground control, as well as health and safety topics related to mine planning, dust and diesel control, and workplace examinations.

In addition, a workshop on Dec. 6 will address key communication skills across all levels of an operation. The workshop will introduce two new long-term research projects funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health.
