Granite Construction acquired a quarry and an asphalt plant from Brunswick Canyon Materials in Carson City, Nevada.

According to Granite, Brunswick Canyon has produced aggregates in the region for more than 50 years. The hard rock quarry includes an onsite 400-tph asphalt plant serving Carson City, South Reno, Tahoe and the Highway 395 corridor.

“We are excited about this opportunity, as it creates employment opportunities and allows us to improve our service to the communities in which we work, specifically those south of Washoe County along the Highway 50 and Highway 395 corridors,” says Chris Burke, vice president of regional operations at Granite.

Granite’s construction materials business spans the Western U.S., specializing in aggregates, asphalt and recycling.
