Foresight Intelligence offers new tracking tool for worksite safety

Foresight Intelligence in Scottsdale, Arizona, has partnered with OEM Data Delivery in Shelton, Connecticut, to offer a new tracking solution known as CrewStrong.

The product is aimed to help teams maintain social distancing while on site, according to Foresight Intelligence. Foresight Intelligence offers this new solution through its telematics product suite, Fleet Intelligence.

“Getting the world back to work is on everyone’s mind, we are happy to be two companies that are able to help speed this up but doing so with safety and risk mitigation at the forefront,” says Dale Hanna, CEO of Foresight Intelligence.

CrewStrong offers tracking capabilities by pairing small and discreet BT5v Bluetooth tags from OEM Data Delivery with Fleet Intelligence’s patent-pending geofence technology to track crew members while they are on site.

If a member of your team tests positive for COVID-19, you simply access a report through your dashboard that lists that individual’s every interaction within a particular radius for a selected time period.

The Bluetooth tag can be attached to any “worn” item such as a hard hat, badge ID or key ring.

Broadcast Bluetooth technology works differently than pairing technology, with tracking information only received on job sites or selected work zones. Once an employee leaves the designated sites, the device is no longer being tracked. This alleviates compliance and tracking concerns that can come into play.

CrewStrong offers full, detailed reports and “congregating warnings” to ping certain selected team members when there are more than the allotted number of team members gathering in close proximity for more than a selected time limit.

OEM Controls has designed and developed electrohydraulic controllers for over 50 years. Its division of OEM Data Delivery develops small, efficient Bluetooth tags for the global marketplace.

“Working with the data professionals from Foresight Intelligence and Fleet Intelligence has been a solid fit for OEM Data Delivery,” says Sam Simons, president and COO of OEM Controls. “We are focused on developing rugged custom data devices that support Fleet Intelligence’s ecosystem. We are very excited to be a part this new and powerful safety management tool, CrewStrong.”

Foresight Intelligence is a data company formed in 2009 that has provided telematics and data management with its earliest offering of business intelligence software solutions for John Deere dealers. Fleet Intelligence was a division formed in 2017 to service heavy construction and over-the-road verticals with a mixed fleet offering.

“It is important to have solutions that are relevant to the need and timing of where the industry is…especially in times such as where we are now, globally,” Hanna says. “Being a business intelligence platform, we are quickly able to create solutions that our customers may need to keep their business moving forward, and right now, one of the primary concerns is not only job site safety, but health and awareness.”
