EvoQuip, a Terex brand, expanded upon its Colt screening line with the Colt 1600 scalping screen – the largest screen in the EvoQuip range.

According to Matt Dickson, EvoQuip business line director, the first models of the Colt 1600 will be available to ship to customers in early 2020.

“I’m proud to officially reveal the Colt 1600 as a brand new EvoQuip model,” Dickson says. “We are confident that this highly-aggressive scalping screen will open up new opportunities for EvoQuip customers globally.”

The Colt 1600 will feature processing capabilities of up to 661 tph, depending on the application, according to EvoQuip. Other features of the Colt 1600 include a 16-ft. x 5-ft. double-deck screen, three interchangeable screenbox options (single shaft, triple shaft and spaleck) and a hybrid technology allowing the equipment to be powered by an external power supply or the on-board engine.

In addition, the variable screening angle and screen media options allow the machine to operate in both precision screening and heavy duty scalping applications, according to EvoQuip.

As with the Colt 1000, the Colt 1600 standard configuration discharges the fines product to the right side of the plant with the mid-grade on the left. Both conveyors can be ordered reversed, according to the company, with the option of placing both conveyors on the same side of the unit.
