DSC Dredge promoted Nick Giarratano to vice president of manufacturing after serving more than 24 years in various roles in engineering and manufacturing.

Giarratano started his career at the company drafting and designing dredging equipment, and quickly moved up the ranks to project manager and production manager, DSC says, before his most recent role as director of production.

In his new role, Giarratano will oversee the manufacturing operations and logistics for all DSC properties, including both the overall facilities and teams in Reserve, Louisiana; Poplarville, Mississippi; and Greenbush, Michigan.

He now reports directly to DSC president and CEO Bob Wetta.

“He was a natural choice,” Wetta says. “Nicky has always been a vital part of our management team and key to the success in the company. This promotion recognizes his expertise and efforts in achieving the company objectives.”

DSC manufactures and engineers customized dredging solutions to meet specific application needs. It operates from three manufacturing facilities located in Louisiana, Mississippi and Michigan.
