Dodge Momentum Index drops slightly in March

According to Dodge Data & Analytics, the Dodge Momentum Index dropped 2.1 percent in the month of March to 122.3.

Planning activity in the commercial sector dropped 1.9 percent, while planning activity in the institutional sector fell 2.4 percent. A total of 10 projects valued at $100 million or more entered planning during March, with seven being commercial projects and three being institutional projects.

Despite the slight fall in March, the Index in the first three months of 2015 averaged 122.5, a 12 percent increase over the first three months in 2014.
