Bio-High Temp 180 EP grease, a multipurpose lithium complex product, is designed to withstand high temperatures – and Renewable Lubricants says it is ultimately biodegradable. According to the company, the formulation is characterized by super-high-viscosity index base oil and lithium complex thickener, which provide a high-load-carrying capacity, excellent resistance to water and corrosion, and superior performance in a range of temperatures. With no heavy metals or harmful or environmentally undesirable additives such as chlorine, barium or lead, Renewable Lubricants says Bio-High Temp 180 is a sustainable alternative, and it is ideal for use in conveyor rollers, bearings, electric motors, pumps and in industrial wheel bearings where disc brakes generate high temperatures.

Sealmaster Stainless Steel (SS) Gold bearings are engineered for reliable, long-lasting performance and contamination resistance in corrosive and washdown environments, according to Regal Rexnord. Sealmaster SS Gold bearings feature a triple-lip, high-performance contact seal with an integrated flinger for multi-directional sealing to minimize contamination ingress and retain lubricant. The FKM seal lip material is chemical resistant and capable of withstanding high temperatures, the company says. Sealmaster SS Gold bearings are IP69K certified, providing a dust-tight construction that’s able to withstand high pressures and steam cleaning. Regal Rexnord says the bearing housings are constructed from 316 passivated stainless steel, which provides a high degree of corrosion resistance.


Clutch brakes designed for tight quarters

Posidyne clutch brakes are available from Force Control Industries with special pads cast into the main housings to mount an adjustable motor base, allowing the motor to sit atop the clutch brake in a space-saving “piggyback” design. Force Control says the clutch brakes are ideal for precise positioning applications with tight space constraints where an inline arrangement is not feasible. According to Force Control, the brakes feature oil shear technology that allows for rapid and precise stopping, starting, speed change and positioning – all without adjustment or maintenance. The brakes are suited for applications with frequent start-stop cycles and up to 300 cycles per minute.
