CRH, Shell partner on decarbonization

CRH and Shell signed a memorandum of understanding that says both companies will work together to develop and deploy decarbonization solutions and technologies to accelerate their progress towards net-zero emissions.

The companies will explore decarbonization opportunities across materials, operations and transportation in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Solutions include developing low-carbon asphalt solutions, deploying low-carbon fuels for off-road equipment and renewable electricity to power facilities, and vehicle electrification and charging infrastructure to reduce transport emissions.

CRH and Shell say collaboration is key to unlocking new and innovative decarbonization solutions. The companies hope to maximize learning and knowledge sharing to accelerate the deployment of low-carbon solutions and technologies that will help both reach net-zero emissions.
