ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017 Exhibitor Profile: Furukawa Rock Drill USA

By |  February 24, 2017

Furukawa Rock Drill (FRD) USA is introducing a high-performing blast hole drill that delivers better penetration than its predecessor with increased impact: the HCR1100-ER. When coupled with new the Furukawa HD822 drifter, the HCR1100-ER drill minimizes noise and vibration. Specifically, the drill delivers 26.7 percent more impact and 13 percent more airflow than its predecessor. The duel dampening system stabilizes the bit against the rock, ensuring efficient energy transfer and straighter holes. In overall design, the control station is positioned to keep the operator away from drill rotation and dust, while the monitoring system gives a quick visual of engine temperature, hydraulic oil temperature and fluid levels. Other features include a rod charger that allows for the install of five drill steels plus one starter rod, winch-ready frame, Tier 4 Cummins engine, total fuel savings system (TFSS) and optional wireless remote.
