Cemex USA wrapped its first national Sustainability Month, promoting awareness and hosting activities across the U.S. aimed at inspiring positive action for the planet while celebrating the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental excellence.

Cemex USA held events across the country from the end of March throughout the month of April, including tree distributions, tree plantings at Cemex facilities and virtual educational seminars. The intent of the events was to encourage Cemex employees, customers and communities to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Many of the initiatives correlated with Earth Day on April 22, Cemex USA says.

“At Cemex, we are committed to sustainability across our operations and consistently seek opportunities to help make a positive difference through our sustainable practices and partnerships,” says Jerae Carlson, Cemex USA’s vice president of sustainability, communications and public affairs. “Sustainability is key to our business, and we hope through our efforts, we can encourage our customers, our communities and others to join us in the journey.”
