PQ1310_load-cat-eotd300The 775G off-highway truck, which meets Tier 4 Final emissions standards, offers a combination of new drive train strategies and a 5 percent power increase over the previous model, according to Caterpillar. The combo enables the 70-ton-payload class truck to hold a higher gear when climbing 10 percent grades in most applications. Several new components and control changes boost efficiency, Cat says. A key is Cat’s transmission controls. The system enhances productivity, fuel efficiency and drivetrain durability and enables enhanced machine control. The 775G’s engine produces a net power of 779 hp, and the unit features a new cab and other changes to improve safety and efficiencies.
