Cat crowns Global Operator Challenge champion at ConExpo
During the final “Trench Run” challenge, operators showed off their trenching skills using a Cat 315 excavator.
Final scores were based on operators’ skills, efficiency and competence in executing a variety of tasks, with penalties imposed for errors. Awards were given to the overall event champion, the individual with the lowest time in each skills challenge, and the team with the lowest combined score.
Rounding out the top three individual performers, Ferris finished in second place with Mokrzyński taking third.
Other awards
Along with winning the individual Global Operator Challenge, Doheny won the “Fork ‘n Loader” challenge. Mokrzyński won the “Trench Run” challenge and Schiedeck won the “Backhoe Services” challenge.
Team Americas, made up of Do Nascimento, Ferris and Schiedeck, won the team championship.
