Yager Materials, headquartered in Owensboro, Kentucky, is a regional aggregate, asphalt and ready-mixed concrete producer that’s been in operation for more than 100 years.

Yager Materials operates a stone quarry in Meade County, a sand and gravel dredge business along the Ohio River, three aggregate yards, two asphalt plants, four ready-mixed concrete plants, a liquid asphalt terminal, a grade and drain division, and a marine barge construction and repair division.

“We are very excited with this acquisition, which is consistent with our long-term strategy and vision,” says Yves Willems, president and CEO of Carmeuse. “Yager is a well-managed company with great people. It owns and operates excellent assets in an area that fits nicely with our existing network.”

The Carmeuse Group, headquartered in Belgium, operates about 90 locations globally. Yager Materials will run under the North American Carmeuse Group headquartered in Pittsburgh, which includes 30 operations and more than 1,800 employees in the United States.
