The Beumer Group acquired The Hendrik Group, a manufacturer of air-supported belt conveyors for bulk material handling applications.

According to Beumer, an air cushion that supports belts and loads is at the core of air-support belt conveying systems. The company says the technology represents a weatherproof and dustproof transport solution that is quiet, clean and efficient.

“The Hendrik Group specializes in the efficient and environmentally friendly transport of bulk materials,” says Markus Schmidt, CEO of Beumer Corp. “This aligns very well with our goals of bringing sustainable products to the market and improving our customers’ carbon footprint.”

In recent years, Beumer says it had constructive discussions with The Hendrik Group about international cooperation related to air-supported belt conveying systems.

“The acquisition of this internationally successful company is the logical consequence of these constructive discussions,” says Kay Wieczorek, head of the Center of Competence product business at Beumer. “The qualitative expansion of our products is a great opportunity for us. We will continue to develop the groundbreaking technology of air-supported belt conveyors for our customers and in terms of sustainability.”
