Atlas Copco: Hütte HBR 202

By |  September 13, 2013

Hütte Bohrtechnik’s self-contained hydraulic crawler drill rig model is available with an onboard electric or diesel motor, meaning it does not need a separate power supply. The Hütte HBR 202, which is available exclusively through Atlas Copco, shares the same undercarriage and telescoping mast as the 203. Those two areas are where the similarities between the 202 and 203 end, though. The HBR 202 features unique kinematics resulting from an upper structure that rotates 140 degrees left and right and extends forward and back about 14 in. An addition is a three-speed Hütte HG28 low-profile rotary head that provides 21,000 ft.-lbs. of torque with a clearance to the front face of less than 12 in.
