Astec launches highway fund campaign

By |  January 19, 2015

Astec Industries launched a grassroots campaign titled “Don’t Let America Dead End” to advocate for a long-term extension of the Highway Trust Fund before it runs out at the end of May.

Astec launched a website for the campaign, which is designed to raise awareness of the dwindling fund and “promote grassroots mobilization to press Congress to take action on the bill,” says the company.

“America’s infrastructure is in desperate need of rebuilding,” says the website. “Without your involvement, the funds to create tens of thousands of jobs and pump millions into our economy over the course of the next decade will fall by the wayside… The road ends when the short-term extension runs out on May 31. Don’t let America dead end.”
