Aggregate and specialty materials revenue was up significantly in the fourth quarter at Arcosa, and it was up for full-year 2020, as well.

Arcosa generated $136.4 million in revenue in aggregate and specialty materials in the fourth quarter. That compares to a mark of $86.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2019.

For all of 2020, Arcosa generated $529.4 million in revenue in aggregate and specialty materials. That figure was up from $364.7 million in 2019.

Companywide, Arcosa’s revenue increased 3 percent in the fourth quarter to $458.9 million. Companywide revenue increased 11 percent in 2020 to $1.93 billion. Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) also jumped 18 percent on the year to $283.7 million.

“During one of the most challenging business periods in recent history, our 2020 results demonstrate the resilience of our company and the strength of our culture,” says Antonio Carrillo, president and CEO of Arcosa. “Our teams did an outstanding job prioritizing the health and safety of our employees and communities, while continuing to provide critical infrastructure products for our customers.”

According to Carrillo, Arcosa’s construction products segment was a key driver of its 2020 financial results.

“The segment reported 35 percent revenue growth and 50 percent adjusted EBITDA growth, driven by the Cherry acquisition and improved margins across the segment,” Carrillo says. “Our outlook for these businesses remains favorable, and we expect to continue to deploy capital to strengthen our current market positions and expand our geographic footprint.”

Arcosa expects full-year 2021 revenue of between $1.78 billion and $1.90 billion, and an adjusted EBITDA of $250 million to $270 million.
