The 2018 AGG1 Academy & Expo and World of Asphalt Show & Conference concluded after a three-day showing at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

According to show organizers, more than 8,300 attendees from all 50 states, 10 Canadian provinces and 50 countries gathered for the event.

The sold-out show floor featured more than 460 exhibitors displaying their latest products and technologies for the aggregate, asphalt, pavement maintenance and traffic safety industries.

Attendees and exhibitors discussed new technology, best practices, future growth and pressing issues facing their respective industries. Education sessions were also provided for attendees, with more than 10,000 tickets sold for the shows’ signature learning programs.

“These outstanding numbers emphasize the value of the convention and AGG1,” says Joel Galassini, Cemex regional president and AGG1 Academy & Expo chair. “This really is the best time for anyone in our industry to connect with peers, examine business issues that affect our operations, and get energized for the future.”

The 2019 AGG1 Academy & Expo and World of Asphalt Show & Conference will be held Feb. 12-14 at the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indianapolis.
