The ISEE Annual Conference on Explosives & Blasting Technique returns Feb. 4-8.

The Grant Hyatt in San Antonio is the host venue for this year’s event, which is the 49th in the history of ISEE (the International Society of Explosives Engineers). As usual, attendees can expect a slew of educational opportunities to be available, including sessions and breakouts that will elevate their knowledge of drilling and blasting.

Among the topics that will be covered at this year’s sessions are safety, technology and selecting explosives. Workshops will cover a variety of topics, including flyrock prevention, seismographs and transporting explosives.

Additionally, ISEE says it will have an improved demonstration stage at the conference featuring live demos. Dubbed “The Bench,” ISEE says exhibitors will share techniques, strategies and product innovations in front of attendees.

BME, a provider of blasting solutions, is among the companies that plans to highlight its latest offerings at the show.

“Our presence at the ISEE conference will give us the chance to share not only our latest technology solutions, but our important developments and plans,” says Aaron Austin, general manager of the Americas at BME. “Our presence at the conference will demonstrate our latest generation AXXIS Titanium electronic initiation system, alongside our range of solutions that give us full-service capability.”
