Aggregate Industries donates rock to Smithsonian

By |  October 1, 2012

Aggregate Industries U.S. has partnered with the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History as it embarks on hosting a festival designed to educate the public about geology. Aggregate Industries’ contribution is its donation of a unique rock, rodingite, which is found in one of its local quarries.

The Rock On! Family Festival in Washington D.C., is free and open to the public. Visitors can participate in events such as one that teaches them how cement becomes a rock. NSSGA is sponsoring the event, which takes place Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
