Aggregate Industries U.S. names new COO

Aggregate Industries U.S. appointed Guy Edwards COO. The company says he will focus on strategy implementation and business improvement, as well as assess the structure, efficiency and performance of the organization.

“Guy’s industry experience and strategic vision are invaluable for his new role,” says Filiberto Ruiz, president and CEO of Holcim U.S. and Aggregate Industries U.S. “His knowledge and commitment to the success of AIUS made him an ideal candidate for this position, and we are very happy to have him on our team.”

Edwards joined Hanson as quarry manager in 1988 and held various operational and commercial managerial roles over the years. In 2006, he was named managing director in a Hanson/Tarmac joint venture before becoming regional director, South in 2009 and director, Bardon Aggregates South East for Aggregate Industries UK in 2012. The following year, he was promoted to the UK Executive Committee as director, Overseas. He holds a Bachelor in Engineering from Leeds University, UK.
