AGG1: Around Houston: USS Texas (BB-35) Battleship

Hard hat guided tours and self-guided tours are available for Battleship Texas in LaPorte, Texas, just 30 minutes outside Houston.
Battleship Texas took part in some of the most significant naval battles of the 20th century during both world wars. The historic ship is docked along the Houston Ship Channel. The self-guided tour educates visitors of life on board the ship during World Wars I and II. The guided tour, offered during March, shows parts of the ship that are closed to the public and allows visitors to experience life as a sailor during World War II.
