The newest addition to the RockShield Rubber Co. product lineup is the RSX-16, a modular system featuring a panel size of 16 in. x 24 in. with standard thicknesses of 1.5 in. and 2 in. The RSX-16 panel increases open area, thus increasing throughput. By increasing the width of the panel, RockShield nets an increase in overall deck open area. According to the company, the frame design can withstand heavy loading, and the reduced number of stringers required per deck makes the overall system lighter, lowering stresses on the machine. No fasteners are required to install the screen media, as panels snap into place and the slotted stringer locks the panel, keeping it from shifting down the deck. The panels can be removed and installed quickly, especially in tight spaces, and the 16-in. width allows for extra clearance between stringers.
