Buffalo Wire Works’ next-generation modular urethane dewatering screen panels are typically slotted and range from 0.1 mm and up. Urethane screening media in dewatering applications often experience high-density, heavy bed-depth loading; high-frequency screeners; and large hydro-vacuum pull forces. The issues producers experience have ranged from membrane failure, panels “popping” off and frame collapse in a number of dewatering applications. Buffalo Wire modeled and replicated these failures in the field through customer testing and launched a stronger, more flexible panel that can handle the forces imparted upon it in essentially any situation, the company says. This was accomplished by redesigning the internal frame structure with strategically placed cross member supports, multiple windows, a stronger undercarriage design and a unique geometric layout of frame connectors.
