ABBABB completed its acquisition of the Siemens low-voltage NEMA motor business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to ABB, the line of horizontal and vertical induction severe-duty and general-purpose motors will be rebranded as ABB products and reintroduced to the market during second quarter of 2023.

The Siemens low-voltage NEMA motor business employs about 600 people, generating revenues of about $63 million in 2021. ABB says the global NEMA motor industry comprises industrial electric motors primarily used within North America. NEMA motors are used to run equipment in industries such as mining and aggregates.
