The return of AGG1 means the Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is back along with it.

The induction ceremony makes its triumphant return after a pause resulting from the pandemic and an earlier decision to host the event during AGG1 years only. This month’s black-tie gala takes place at the Omni Nashville Hotel on March 28 – the evening before the start of AGG1 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Four men who made lasting marks on the aggregate industry will be honored during the ceremony. Ted Baker (Florida Rock Industries), EJ Burke (DuPont/Dyno Nobel), Nathan P. Stedman (Stedman’s Foundry & Machine Works) and Dave Thomey (Maryland Materials) were selected for enshrinement. They will join the 32 others who were inducted to the Hall of Fame over the last 10 years.

While Burke and Stedman were selected for enshrinement a year ago as members of the 2021 class, Baker and Thomey were chosen at the start of this year to represent the class of 2022. Stedman, who lived more than a century ago, will be inducted posthumously.

The Hall of Fame festivities begin at 7 p.m. March 28 with a cocktail reception that will be followed by dinner at 8 p.m. and the induction ceremony shortly thereafter. Tickets for the ceremony can be purchased at pitandquarryhalloffame.com/tickets. Dinner and drinks are included with each ticket purchase, but ticket quantities are limited.
