Volvo Construction Equipment names Stephen Roy as a president of its sales group

Volvo Construction Equipment appointed Stephen Roy as its new president of sales region Americas. Roy will assume the  position Sept. 1.

In his new role, Roy will be responsible for meeting the needs of customers in North America and Latin America in order to strengthen Volvo’s market position in those regions. He will be based at the company’s sales and production facility in Shippensburg, Pa., where he will report to Tomas Kuta, Volvo Construction Equipment’s global senior vice president of sales.

Roy first joined Volvo Group as vice president of business development at Volvo Financial Services in 2007, following a sales position at Cargill Leasing Corp. and Navistar. He most recently worked with the Volvo Group’s North American commercial truck operations as president of Mack Trucks, where he helped drive profitability and increase market share in core segments.
