Volvo CE appoints two dealers in the Midwest

By |  November 21, 2017

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) named Housby Heavy Equipment as its dealer in Iowa and Wise Heavy Equipment as its dealer in Nebraska.

Both new dealers acquired the assets of Scott Van Keppel (SVK), a heavy equipment company, and assumed its locations. Housby Heavy Equipment, based in Des Moines, Iowa, took over SVK’s Ankeny and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, locations, while Wise Heavy Equipment assumed SVK’s location in Omaha, Nebraska.

According to Volvo CE, the appointment of these two dealers aligns with its strategy to expand and strengthen its dealer network, as well as to provide best-in-class machine uptime experience to its customers.

“Volvo CE is determined to grow its footprint in North America by partnering with the best dealerships the region has to offer,” says Stephen Roy, president of Volvo CE in North America. “Housby Heavy Equipment and Wise Heavy Equipment have a combined 84 years of experience in distribution and have shown tremendous success with Mack Trucks, another great Volvo Group company. We’re excited to launch this new phase of partnership and we know that our customers will see immediate and measurable improvements when doing business with Volvo CE.”

Founded in 1969, Housby Heavy Equipment offers its customers heavy equipment, ready-mix technologies, and waste and forestry equipment. Founded in 1978, Wise Heavy Equipment serves customers in the transportation, trucking and railroad industries.

Volvo CE also recently named a dealer in South Dakota. Read more about that partnership here.
