apacApac-Texas submitted an application to increase the rock output at its quarry in Marble Falls, Texas, by 1.3 million tpy, according to DailyTrib.com.

In its application, Apac-Texas proposes increasing the amount of rock mined in the quarry, located northwest of Austin, Texas, to 9 million tpy from 7.7 million tpy. The company applied in June 2016 to increase the quarry’s output to 12 million tpy, but it withdrew that request.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is currently reviewing the application.
