The new 500 horsepower Terex^® Cedarapids MVP550X cone crusher boasts numerous features that increase productivity and ease of use. The legendary, patented Rollercone^® design, along with the super bearing, increase efficiency, making more horsepower available for crushing. Major new enhancements include high speed clearing of jammed material and quick crusher separation capability for faster manganese changes. The MVP550X model joins the 400 hp MVP450X and 300 hp MVP380X models in the Terex^® Cedarapids MVPX series line of versatile cone crushers. At the press of a button, fully guided dual action tramp relief cylinders provide 6″ of lift for easy clearing of jammed feed material. The hydro-pneumatic tramp iron relief system instantly resets the crusher setting after passing uncrushable material without having to activate valves and pumps. A high-flow manifold system with multiple accumulators provides redundant cylinder protection. The hydraulic powered threaded upper assembly allows for quick crusher setting adjustment under load. The MVPX series cone crushers are designed to handle high-force, demanding applications.
