Telsmith will exhibit its 44SBS cone crusher at Hillhead 2018, which will take place June 26-28 in Buxton, England.

According to the company, the 44SBS is designed for large, extra coarse feed material ideal for secondary and tertiary circuit positions in mining, aggregate and crushed stone production.

The 300-hp cone crusher offers output capacities ranging from 135 to 351 metric tph or 150 to 390 short tph depending on desired final output size, providing up to an 8-in. feed size, the company says.

In addition, the cone crusher boasts the company’s overload protection design, which limits the amount of force the machine needs to absorb when it encounters overloads or tramp metal. It also features a switch that puts the machine in “crush” mode to “clear” mode, allowing the machine to clear safely in minutes.

Additionally, the 44SBS includes an anti-spin system that includes a small hydraulic motor – attached to the shaft – that prevents the head from spinning when running with intermittent feed. The anti-spin system also provides longer manganese life and produces a more cubical product, the company says.

Telsmith, an Astec Industries company, provides a range of minerals processing solutions to the aggregate, mining, industrial and recycling industries, with cone crushers, jaw crushers, vibrating equipment, portable plants, track plants and full-scale modular processing facilities.
