Summit Materials Executive Vice President and COO Douglas Rauh will be stepping down from his positions, effective Dec. 30.

As the company searches for a permanent replacement, Tom Hill, Summit Materials’ president and CEO, will act as interim COO, the company says. During the search, Tom Beck, executive vice president of the company’s cement segment; Shane Evans, executive vice president of the company’s West segment; and Damian Murphy, executive vice president of the company’s East segment, will all report to Hill.

“Doug has been an excellent COO and trusted business partner,” Hill says. “I am grateful for his leadership in driving Summit’s growth over the past six years and building a strong foundation for our future. I know that I speak on behalf of every employee at Summit in thanking Doug for his dedication and service.”
